Originally from northern Maine, Madelyn Musser moved to Jackson in 2010 to attend Union University. She graduated from Union with a degree in Vocal Music Education in 2014 and has been teaching, conducting, and performing in West Tennessee ever since. Madelyn assumed the role of Choral Director at North Side High School from 2015-2020 and added the position of Union University Community Music Center Youth Choir Director from 2016-2023. She has taught private voice lessons for ten years and served two years as the Assistant Director for Union’s Community Music Center. Currently, she is the Director of Choirs for The Jackson Symphony Music Academy. In addition to teaching, she also served on the Executive Board for the West Tennessee Vocal Music Educators Association for six years. Madelyn has performed various works as a guest artist with The Jackson Symphony, Union’s Music Department, and has been a member of the Jackson Choral Society for 3 years.
